I Love Sharing My Mess…

A TIME TO BE BORN:
I was born in Los Angeles, California on September 30th to Patricia Mae. I don’t believe it was an accident that the hospital was named Queen of Angels.

A TIME TO GROW:
In 1982, my mother and I moved to a little town nestled in the Catskill Mountains, Hancock, New York

WHILE THERE:
I met lifelong friends, I went to church, Emory United Methodist, I learned to play violin, I was a girl scout, I went to leadership camps, church camps, I played basketball, volleyball, and even football. I laughed, I cried, I prayed, I learned scriptures, I began to write.

MORE GROWING:
After high school, I went to Hampton University. I changed majors 3 times, I met more lifelong friends, I suffered loss, I cried more than I laughed, I continued to write.

LIFE HAPPENS:
After college, I moved to DC, I worked, I met more friends, I laughed, I cried, I had a son, and then married, had a daughter, and then a divorce. I worked, I cried, I prayed. I wandered. I was lost. I kept writing. I began to seek, but I was broken. I met a comedian, I began to laugh again. I was still seeking. I lost my mother, I had another daughter, and twin girls, lost one. I got married. I joined Faith Church in Washington, DC, I began to work. I began to heal. I kept writing.

It was in the middle of a lot of mess in my life, (most by the choices I made, but a few because that’s just part of life} that I realized that Jesus is real and tangible. He is more than a song, He is bigger than anything and everything I could imagine. And, I wholeheartedly believe that it is my calling to empower lives to get to know Jesus in a way that will transform your life.

THINGS I LOVE:
I love me some Jesus! I love my soul food Sundays with my family. I love food, coffee, hosting parties, playing cards, watching TV, sunsets, daylight savings time, a road trip with my girlfriends, and a good ole laugh.
